Farmers Hall - EDON Fiberglass

Richard T. Farmer School of Business

University of Miami (OH)
Moody Nolan Architects/Robert A.M. Stern Architects

The Farmer School of Business is a 205,000 SF building that reflects the Georgian Image of Miami University. It is the first building on campus to receive LEED certification. The use of EDON fiberglass cornice, column covers and ornamental trim helped contribute to this certification.

EDON was able to work with the architects and use a combination of standard profiles and custom profiles to create the look desired by the University and the architects. By combining different profiles of cornice EDON was able to create the look that was designed but also help save money on the project.

Using high quality marine grade gel coats with UV inhibitors allow the University to have a product that is extremely low maintenance as well as contributing to LEED certification.
